Meme Culture

Through this project I explore the generational effect of the mass amounts of meme and online culture we consume on the daily and how it has created a brand new syntax in art particular to a specific genre of people that grew up in a specific time online.

Nostalgia

This collection explores the dichotomy of nostalgia, looking at the sad and longing emotions that are brought alongside warm and familiar memories and media. Experimenting with objects from childhood and textiles to physically allow your body into past experiences and sensory processing.

- CCW Foundation

Through this short project during my foundation year I looked into the effects of closeness with others and what is left behind when they leave your life. I explored this through areas where memories have been made and gaps in scenes where loved ones once were.

Identity
- A-Levels

Looking at the pressures of body goals and standards consistently enforced onto anyone online and how this consistent and now digital pressure can be translated into traditional painting through surrealism and direct references to the styles of René Magritte and René Jonathan Yeo.
